As a dog breeder I found ways to recycle the fabulous, soft, angora-like undercoat of my dogs and cats. I would card and spin the fibers together to make yarn. The yarn was turned into sweaters, coats, scarves, mittens and slippers.
But it occured to me that I could also make beads by felting it and then turn it into jewelry.
There is nothing more precious than wearing a piece of your pet. These fur beads weigh next to nothing, so I add stone or glass beads to give the jewelry some weight. Here are a few pieces that I have made.
